Alliance holds annual Gold Key banquet


The Connecticut Sports' Writers Alliance hosted their 77th annual Gold Key banquet and awards ceremony Sunday at the Aqua Turf with more than 360 people in attendance. Five Gold Key award were presented to Dennis Coscina, a PGA golf professional; Dot Johnson, the long-time field hockey coach at Granby Memorial; Lou Marinelli, the New Canaan football coach and all-time leader in career wins in Connecticut; Len Tsantiris, who coached women's soccer at Connecticut for 37 years and Gretchen Ulion-Silverman, who won a gold medal with the U.S. Olympic women's hockey team in 1998.
